This rustic T. Michael Studios Slate Tray is made with slate shingles harvested from historic buildings & barns in Ohio. Timothy takes great care in both the construction and finishing details. The cast iron handles are both decorative and useful for serving. He adds rubber stoppers to the bottom to protect surfaces. The date that the slate was originally used is carved into the tray, helping to keep its history alive, and each tray comes with a tag that describes the slate's history.
The Slate Tray makes a really unique serving tray or hot plate. I love serving cheese and bread on it.
